The Coastal Courier, a three-day a week newspaper in Hinesville, GA, is looking for journalist(s) who can report, write, take photographs and shoot video, or who are willing to learn those skills. Coverage areas range from the international actions of the 3rd Infantry Division on Fort Stewart to the lifestyles of residents of Coastal Georgia. Full- and or part-time work is possible. Job duties include beat work, developing sources, following issues and writing copy about those issues and events that happen in our area. Photographic and video work also included. Web work, from coding to uploading photos, is possible. Successful candidates must love community journalism, be able to explain complicated issues in an easily understood manner, thrive on multiple tasks while having fun, know AP style and recognize that reporters are the face of the newspaper in the community. Hinesville is the hometown of Fort Stewart and in Liberty County, on the Atlantic Coast just south of Savannah. The Courier covers Liberty and Long counties.
