Woman uses brownie to deface justice center

A Hinesville woman who used a brownie as a weapon Saturday night to deface the Liberty County Justice Center now is behind bars. Khadiza Latimore was arrested and charged with criminal trespass for smashing a brownie on a glass door at the justice center on South Main Street. April 19: Simple battery, cruelty to animals — A deputy went to investigate a domestic dispute in Midway and found two people seriously impaired by alcohol and/or drugs. There were no signs of violence, but a woman claimed a man grabbed her by the ankles and pulled her and threw her dog against a wall. April 26: Burglary — A man reported a broken window at another residence in the 2400 block of Caswell Boulevard, and the responding officer noticed there were two TVs lying on a floor but was not sure whether they were left that way by burglars or by their owner. He contacted the resident, who said she has been away from the house for about a month, and they deduced that only a $250 laptop was taken from the home. Read More
