Laura Troutman, human resources specialist for the Liberty County Board of Commissioners, recently earned certification as a professional in human resources.
The certification from the Human Resource Certification Institute signifies that Troutman has achieved a mastery level of the field, possessing the theoretical knowledge and practical experience in human resource management.
"Certification as a human resource professional clearly demonstrates a commitment to personal excellence and to the human resource profession," said Susan Meisinger, president and CEO of the Society for Human Resource Management. The Human Resource Certification Institute awards two levels of certification, Professional in Human Resources and Senior Professional in Human Resources.
To become certified, an applicant must pass a comprehensive examination and demonstrate a strong background of professional human resource experience.
The institute is the credentialing body for human resource professionals and is affiliated with the Society for Human Resource Management, the world's largest organization dedicated exclusively to the human resource profession.
And its purpose is to promote the establishment of professional standards and to recognize professionals who meet those standards.
The Liberty County Board of Commissioners was proud of Troutman for receiving the designation, calling her an outstanding employee and again we congratulate her on this award of her certification as a Professional in Human Resources.
