LUDOWICI -- Three candidates made Long County history last week.
They qualified to run as Republicans in the upcoming partisan primaries.
"This is really a historic election for Long County, just by having someone run on the Republican side, but it is even more unique, because there are three people running as Republicans," county Election Superintendent Marie Middleton said.
She released the names of all who qualified for the upcoming primaries, which will be July 15. Advanced voting will be July 7-11.
Here are the candidates who qualified:

The starting base salary for each of the elected positions is:
Sheriff -- $50,800.
Clerk of superior court -- $52,616.
Tax commissioner -- $45,165.
Coroner -- $1,200.
County commissioner -- $2,000.
