Canal museum sets anniversary event

The 16th annual Canal Anniversary Event will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, at the Savannah-Ogeechee Canal Museum & Nature Center, 681 Fort Argyle Road, just over two miles past I-95. Join for food, music and fun-filled family activities, including pony rides and a reptile show. Historic tours will be had at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. No admission fee will be charged, but reservations are needed for the barbecue chicken plate at $10 for adults and $5 for children.
