Everyone is invited to dress up, decorate bikes and wagons for the parade (no motorized vehicles, please), and march through historic downtown Brunswick. Theme prizes will be awarded.
The parade ends at Mary Ross Waterfront Park, where the big celebration begins at 7 p.m. Games for children of all ages will be available, including sack races, balloon tosses, tug-of-war, hula hoop contests, and more. There will be prizes for the winners and free watermelon slices for everyone.
At dark, a spectacular fireworks display will illuminate the East River amid a backdrop of patriotic music.
