Anyone interested in learning more about Georgia public education is invited to a public hearing from 7-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Appling County Schools office, 249 Blackshear Highway, Baxley.
State Board of Education member Linda Zechmann will listen to residents who have suggestions that may help Georgia improve student achievement. She represents the First Congressional District on the board.
