DARIEN — McIntosh County will have its Independence Day celebration on Friday in historic downtown Darien, featuring Mason Waters and the Groove Allstars. Concert-goers can bring food, chairs and blankets and relax in the breeze of the Darien River while enjoying Mason Waters, beginning at 7 p.m. At 9:15 p.m., there will be fireworks over the river. Admission is $10 for adults; $5 for 6- to 12-year-olds and children under 5 are free.
