The Fort Stewart Youth Sports held a Football Jamboree this past Saturday and teams from Garden City and Long County came down to see how their teams stacked up against each other.

The Liberty County Panthers traveled to Brantley and had a decided victory over the Herons 33-13. However the severe thunderstorms in Hinesville delayed the start of the Bradwell game by two hours. Once the lightning stopped and the skies cleared it was all Coffe County in their 33-14 victory over the Tigers.
First Presbyterian Christian Academy's junior varsity soccer team traveled to Macon on Sept. 7 to compete in the B Team Showcase for the first time, and walked away the champions.

Long County youth football players and cheerleaders came out to be recognized Friday at the Long County Blue Tide football game. Before the game, all the kid teams lined up as the high school team ran by giving them a "high five." All the kids got a free admittance to the game. The kids were on the field as the high school teams warmed up, and each team and their head coach was recognized over the loud speaker.
The Lady Panthers played three games in the last week with only one loss and a new season record. The Panthers are 8-3 for the season and 2-0 in region play as they annihilated the Hephzibah Rebels in a double-header regional game on Saturday.
The Lady tigers of Bradwell took to the softball field on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon and split the games against two tough opponents by losing to the Lady Groves Rebels and defeating the Lady Knights of Windsor Forest.
