Therefore, I appeal to our local building contractors to consider Liberty Humane Shelter when they throw away scrap building supplies. Call them and I will come pick up any donations for them. I petition the public to volunteer, to bring their used newspapers to the dumpsters located behind Food Lion (Hinesville) and the Old Kroger (Richmond Hill) and their aluminum cans and used printer/toner cartridges to the LHS on airport road.
I appeal to local businesses to donate items to the Bryan Animal Caregivers for their September "Friends of Animal Auction" fundraiser. (Donation forms can be found on their Web site at www.bryanac.org - under "how you can help").
I appeal to Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield to allow Bryan Animal Caregivers to post brochures in all soldier in-processing packets to advertise their reduced-cost spay, neuter and pet fostering programs.
I appeal to the Coastal Courier to run a weekly classified ad for the LHS with a "wish list" of needed materials to keep this organization running. I appeal to Lowes and Ace Hardware to donate their scrap wood and plexi-glass to LHS.
I petition the online consumer to shop the Bryan Animal Caregivers Affiliate Catalog (including shopping on Ebay), to utilize Good Search and Good Shop to help them raise funds for their low cost spay/neuter program. Information on how to do this is on their Web site at www.braynac.org (how you can help link) and it's totally free to them.
From working at home to working at the shelter, to helping with specific events such as fundraisers and adopt-a-thons, there is just so much that so many people can do to help. If you want to know what you can do to help, contact them.
