MOUNT VERNON — Eight area students graduated from Brewton-Parker College following the December 2009 term, announced Dr. T. Ronald Melton, provost. They, including three with academics honors, are:
Jennifer Guerrios, associate of arts, magna cum laude
Hayley Marie Allen, associate of arts, summa cum laude
Heidi Kay Allen, associate of arts, summa cum laude
Jimmie John Gray, bachelor of arts, communication
Sharneice M. Herron, bachelor of business administration, general business
Levi Drenon Moody, bachelor of business administration, accounting
Barbara Louise Nixon, associate of arts and bachelor of arts, Christian studies
Delsie Odessa Ward, bachelor of arts, general studies
The college grants graduation honors to students whose academic work meets the following standards based on a grade point average scale with a 4.00 as the highest mark: cum laude (3.50 to 3.69 GPA), magna cum laude (3.70 to 3.89 GPA), and summa cum laude (3.90 to 4).
