The Liberty County Board of Education has made some changes to the dress code for the 2009-10 school year. We would like to take this opportunity to inform you of these changes. Some of the changes for elementary students include only solid white or navy polo shirts (no ruffles, lace, elastic, or smocking will be allowed).  Blouses and button down shirts are no longer allowed. Elementary students will now be able to wear any color belt.
For middle and high students the dress code has been combined into one, which means uniforms must be made of a standard uniform material such as cotton or twill and have a sewn hem. Belts must be solid and unadorned navy, black, brown or khaki.  Belts and belt buckles must not be oversized nor have any writing or symbols. Coats and jackets must be left in the student’s locker during the school day. If a student wishes, they may wear over their uniform shirt a solid colored sweater or sweatshirt without a hood and without an insignia (color appropriate to the school). A student may choose to wear under their uniform shirt a white T-shirt or a solid color turtleneck (white or a color appropriate to the school).  Middle school parents and students should take note that the non-compliance procedures listed in the dress code have changed.
